Western Window Systems New Aluminum Window Wall Features Innovations in Energy Efficiency and Strength
Nov 27, 2017

[Phoenix] – November 30, 2017 – Today, Western Window Systems introduced the Series 7630 Window Wall, adding the first window product to its all-new Series 7000 performance family, which debuted in March. Whether architects, builders, or homeowners are designing a single-panel or door-size opening, or a glass wall that spans an entire façade, the Series 7630 delivers a durable, energy-efficient, and completely customizable solution that allows for more glass, a modern look, and the ability to integrate with Series 7000 sliding doors and — in the next few months — ventilating windows and hinged doors.

“We believe the addition of the Series 7630 Window Wall will transform the way people think about aluminum windows, providing a new sense of design freedom since they can enjoy the look of real modern windows in a variety of weather conditions,” says Scott Gates, Western Window Systems’ president and CEO. “The Series 7630 Window Wall combined with other Series 7000 products is the ultimate in functionality and flexibility.”

Following the release of the Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door in March, the Series 7650 Sliding Glass Door in August, and the Series 7950 Bi-Fold Door November, the Series 7630 is the fourth of 12 new aluminum product lines Western Window Systems will roll out this year and in 2018.

Energy Efficiency
The new Series 7630 features a .29 U-value for standard low-E, argon-filled dual-pane glass, and a .17 U-value for high-performance triple-pane glass. Performance glass options from Cardinal IG include laminated glass, solar- and glare-control glass, enhanced winter-performance glass, and Neat low-maintenance glass. A signature aluminum extrusion design utilizing proprietary Insulbar® technology further reduces energy consumption. The Series 7630 is NFRC-tested and complies with California’s rigorous Title 24 requirements.

For strength against the elements, the Series 7630 Window Wall achieves a performance grade of CW-PG100 at sizes up to 60 x 120 inches. (CW-PG100 includes a design pressure of 100 pounds per square foot, the equivalent of 200 mph winds.) A thin extrusion profile supports triple-pane, laminated, and security glass — essential options for noise reduction. The Series 7630 is currently in testing for hurricane impact.

The mulling process for the Series 7630 Window Wall keeps sightlines narrow, resulting in a clean, contemporary look that can be replicated through an entire wall of glass. A versatile 5.875” frame depth allows the company’s Series 7000 sliding doors, ventilating windows, and hinged doors (the last two available in the next few months) to directly mull to any combination of windows, creating a clean, smooth appearance.

The Series 7630 Window Wall Also Offers:

  • Split finish option, in which different finishes are used on opposite sides of the door
  • Pre-applied Cardinal Preserve Film to protect glass during installation
  • Standard and high-base sill options
  • Available in heights up to 16 feet depending on application

  • The Series 7630 Window Wall is available through Western Window Systems’ custom channel
  • The Series 7630 is manufactured at the company’s new headquarters in Phoenix
