Jeff Kesar

Not only can Western Window Systems creative director Jeff Kesar think outside the box, he can design it, too – as well as everything inside.

“We needed a marketing tool that would have a huge impact on production builders,” says COO Scott Gates. “So we came up with this box idea, which was completely new territory for us. Jeff just ran with it – he liked the challenge.”

Consisting of a tablet uploaded with a Volume Program slide show and mini website, magazines sponsored by Western Window Systems, and a how-to card arranged in a high-quality branded box, the project, designed to be distributed to production builders at targeted events, took months to complete. Kesar, who started with the company in 2012, designed and oversaw each element, even managing the packing and shipping portions of the process.

“Because the project was totally new to us, there were a lot of snags and re-dos,” says Gates. “Jeff worked with other members of the team to get results and helped keep the project on track.”

When the boxes finally made their debut, the feedback was overwhelming.

“They were a huge hit,” says vice president of production builder sales Chet Willis. “They look amazing and they’re a great tool to educate builders about us on their own time. They were the talk of the show.”

Congratulations to Jeff Kesar, Western Window Systems’ manager of the quarter, September 2014.
