Western Window Systems’ top priority in managing the coronavirus situation is protecting the health of our employees while keeping the business running for our customers. This week, Jeff Jackson, president and CEO of our parent company, PGT Innovations, addressed the topic in an email to customers, where he shared the organization’s commitment to heightened hygiene protocol outlined by health agency experts while continuing to manufacture high-quality products.

“We are continuing to manufacture our exceptional windows and doors to the same high quality you expect from PGT Innovations products,” Jackson wrote in his message. “We are secure in our supply chain, and our trucks are rolling with heightened dedication to safely deliver to our customers. If any part of our business should change, please be assured that we will connect with you.”

In alignment with the steps being enacted across all other PGT Innovations’ locations, Western Window Systems has taken the following measures to care for its direct and indirect workforce and to ensure business continuity throughout the developing situation:

Increased Cleaning of Our Facility
At Western Window Systems, maintaining a safe environment is core to how we operate. To support our workforce, we have contracted for additional several-times-daily cleaning of our facility. As an extra precaution, we are actively tracking and following the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and are mandating heightened sanitary guidelines for our team members, including limiting personal contact and diligent hand and surface sanitizing.

Social Distancing
To safeguard Western Window Systems’ manufacturing team and office employees who will continue to work on site, we have instituted social distancing practices. For example, we are postponing large gatherings and training classes and limiting in-person meeting attendance and building tours. In addition, we have restricted non-essential business travel; however, our sales and architect consultant teams will continue to connect and communicate with our customers in whatever form they are most comfortable with.

In addition, as part of PGT Innovations’ internal COVID-19 Task Force, we will closely monitor any changes in the situation. The team’s focus is to safeguard the well-being of employees and follow the recommendations of local governments and public health organizations to minimize the spread of infection.

We appreciate your partnership and will continue to evolve our response and keep you informed.
