For the second year in a row, Western Window Systems is playing an integral role in Dwell magazine’s Monogram Modern Home, a traveling prefabricated housing unit outfitted with luxury products.
The 600-square-foot prefab, custom-built by Method Homes in conjunction with Monogram professional appliances, is in the midst of a tour of six major American cities. The home’s next stop will be in downtown Los Angeles on June 24-26 for the annual Dwell on Design conference, which is touted as America’s largest design event.
“We are extremely excited to be a part of the Monogram Modern Home again this year. It will allow us to showcase the versatility and customization of what makes our products unique,” says Andrew Darr, vice president of custom sales for Western Window Systems. “The home features large expanses of glass that bring the outdoors in, which is exactly what our products are designed to achieve."
These large expanses of glass come courtesy of Western Window Systems’ innovative Series 600 Multi-Slide Door. Three configurations of the builder-preferred product appear in the Monogram Modern Home, in the form of a two-panel, a three-panel, and a four-panel multi-slide. Also showcased in the home are Western Window Systems’ award-winning hinged windows and the Series 900 hinged door. All the products are finished in satin anodized aluminum and feature energy-efficient thermally broken aluminum and insulated low-E glass.
At Dwell on Design, attendees who visit the Monogram Modern Home will get an up-close look at what Western Window Systems offers, experiencing the tangible application of the company’s door and window systems and interacting with the products.
The Monogram Modern Home will be set up for the conference on June 24-26 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. After leaving L.A., the traveling unit will make stops in Houston, Atlanta, and Miami over the next six months.
